Why we exist
Our Mission
South Africa has one of the most vibrant fashion cultures on the continent. From kasi drip in Soweto to Cape Malay-inspired print in the Bo-Kaap, from luxury resellers in Sandton to vintage hunters in Braamfontein — the creativity is everywhere. But until now, there was no platform built specifically for South Africans to buy and sell fashion safely, with the trust and payment infrastructure the market deserves.
SwagMzansi was built to change that. We created a marketplace where sellers can list for free, where every transaction is protected by our buyer protection system, and where the seller’s reputation — their SwagScore — is earned through real buyer reviews. Whether you are clearing out your closet or building a side hustle, SwagMzansi gives you the tools, trust, and community to do it right.

SwagMzansi is a product of Vovo Capital (Pty) Ltd, a South African technology company based in Midrand, Gauteng. We are a team of builders, designers, and fashion lovers who understand the South African market from the inside out.
We built SwagMzansi because we saw the opportunity — and the need. South Africans deserve a marketplace that speaks their language, understands their culture, and operates with the level of trust and safety that international platforms offer but local alternatives have failed to deliver.
We are just getting started. The fashion exchange is our first vertical — but our vision is broader. We are building the infrastructure for South African digital commerce, one community at a time.

Listing is free. We only earn when you do — and every fee is shown upfront before you pay.
Selling
10%
Platform fee per sale, deducted automatically. List as many items as you like for free — you receive 90% of your selling price, paid to your bank account after the buyer confirms delivery.
Buying
6.5%
Buyer Protection fee added at checkout. Your payment is held safely and the seller is only paid once you confirm your item arrived as described. How Buyer Protection works
